History

Gustav Düring, born on October 20, 1850, in Siegburg, was the son of Abraham Döring and Johanette Indemay. He later settled in Cologne, where he established his family.

Gustav’s first wife was Rosalie Jakobi, with whom he had five children: Carolina, also known as Lina; Johana; Adolf; Rosalie, affectionately called Röschen; Albert; and Leonhard. Later, Gustav remarried, this time to Laura Cahn, and together they had two more children, Nettchen and Max
